Teaching
Being a teaching assistant has allowed me to enhance my knowledge in linguistics while providing support to students. I have enjoyed the opportunity to engage with different course topics and contribute to students' learning journeys.
1- Introduction to Linguistics (Undergraduate Level) - Fall 2021:
- Conducted weekly tutorial sessions to review course materials and assist students with assignments.
- Graded quizzes and the final exam for the course.
2- Forensic Linguistics (Undergraduate Level) - Winter 2022:
- Assisted students with course materials and projects in Forensic Linguistics.
- Monitored class discussions on the presented topics and directed student discussions.
- Graded projects and provided feedback to students.
3- Phonetics (Undergraduate Level) - Fall 2022:
- Conducted two weekly tutorials.
- Taught students how to analyze sound using applications such as PRAAT.
- Assisted students with assignments and provided guidance.
4- Semantics (Undergraduate Level) - Winter 2023:
- I was nominated for the Outstanding TA Award at Carleton University for this course in Winter 2023.
